Is traditional therapy just not cutting it anymore?

You’ve done the work. You’ve learned the skills. But something is still holding you back.

You don’t have the time to devote to weekly therapy sessions

If you don’t have the time for weekly therapy, a counseling intensive can be a great alternative. It allows you to focus on deep, meaningful work over a short period—typically one to three days—making it ideal for those with busy schedules, limited availability, or urgent issues like trauma or life transitions. This concentrated format can lead to rapid progress and emotional relief, often reducing the need for ongoing sessions and providing quick, focused support.

You’re seeking deeper, more concentrated healing

An EMDR intensive offers deeper, faster healing by providing focused, immersive therapy over a short period. This concentrated approach allows clients to process trauma, PTSD, grief, and emotional challenges more rapidly, facilitating quicker breakthroughs and lasting relief. The intensive format enables clients to work through complex issues without the delays of weekly sessions, leading to significant progress and emotional healing in a shorter timeframe.

You’re in the right place.

EMDR intensives can help you accomplish in one session what may take months in traditional therapy.

What is an intensive?

A counseling intensive is an approach where a client participates in multiple therapy sessions over a short period, such as one to three days, instead of the usual weekly appointments. This condensed format allows for focused, in-depth work on specific issues or challenges. By immersing the client in intensive therapy, deeper emotional processing can occur in a shorter time, which can be especially helpful for clients facing significant stress, trauma, or life transitions.

The benefits of counseling intensives include faster progress, as clients are able to tackle difficult emotions or situations more quickly. This approach can also be ideal for those with limited time or who are seeking rapid improvement in their mental health. By engaging in a concentrated therapeutic experience, clients may achieve meaningful breakthroughs and a deeper understanding of their challenges in a condensed time frame.

1

Pre-Intensive Assessment

A Pre-Intensive Assessment is a thorough evaluation conducted before starting an EMDR intensive. It helps the therapist understand the client's history, goals, and emotional challenges, ensuring the intensive is tailored to their needs. The assessment also prepares the client for the process, addresses any concerns, and confirms they are ready for the focused, intensive work ahead.

2

Intensive
Session

An EMDR intensive session involves several hours of focused therapy in one or a few consecutive days, using bilateral stimulation to process trauma or emotional pain. This concentrated approach helps clients make rapid progress, achieve breakthroughs, and experience significant healing in a shorter time than traditional sessions.

3

Post-Intensive Follow-Up

An EMDR post-intensive follow-up is a session(s) after the intensive to assess progress, address any new challenges, and reinforce the gains made. It helps ensure long-term healing by integrating the work from the intensive and providing additional support as needed.
